Joe L. Hollingsworth, 37

Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Geo M Whittich-Lewis Funeral Home for Joe L. Hollingsworth, 37, 615 Woodlawn Ave. He died Saturday morning at St. Frances Hospital in Peoria, IL following a motorcycle accident.

Father Walter Helms conduct the service. Visitation is today from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetary. A memorial has been established for a college fund for his two sons.

Pallbearers will be Robert L. Jones, Alvin Walters, Keith Miles, Steve Harfst, Charles Drumm and Douglas Nelson.Organist will be Mrs. Beverly Weber.

Mr Hollinsworth was born June 14, 1952 the son of Frank and patsy McGlothien Hollingsworth at Muscatine. He married Joyce Louise Blaesing on Jan 4, 1974.

He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and had a life-long interest and livelihood in welding. He was a certified welder graduating from Tulsa Welding School at Tulsa, OK and Denver Welding School of Denver, CO.He was most recently contracted through Quad City Boilers of Davenport, IA and working in Peoria, IL.

Survivors include his wife Joyce two sons Isaac and Jacob Hollingsworth, both at home; one niece Nicole Frantz; his parents Mr. and mrs. Frank Hollingsworth of Musactine and two brothers Staff Sgt James J. Hollingsworth U.S. Army stationed in West Germany and Matthew Hollingsworth of Muscatine.

He was preceded in death by one son Dwight.
