MUSCATINE, Iowa - Thomas Michael Griffin, 59, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2010, at the University of Iowa Hospital.

The Rev. Brian McNamara will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.

Mr. Griffin was born Aug. 1, 1951, in Muscatine, the son of Scott and Mary Erdman Griffin. He was united in marriage to Carol Cook Oct. 26, 1978, in Muscatine.

He owned and operated George's Steak House. He loved sports, especially the Hawkeyes, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Carol A. Griffin, of Muscatine; three sons, Terry Griffin, Toby Griffin, and Steven Griffin, all of Muscatine; three daughters, Shelia Shoemaker and husband, Tim, Melissa Griffin, and Brandy Griffin, all of Muscatine; 11 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and two sisters, Kay Horton and husband, Ron and Elizabeth Samuelson and husband, Mel, all of Muscatine.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bob Griffin.
