MUSCATINE, Iowa – Steven F. Eitman, 61, of Muscatine, died on Friday, June 7, 2013.

Memorials may be made to the family in care of Shea Eitman.

The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Steve was born on May 27, 1952, in Muscatine, the son of Jack and Nancy Christiansen Eitman. He was a Muscatine High School and Muscatine Community College graduate. He married Janie Stark on May 27, 1980, and they later divorced.

He worked as a concrete finisher for Tom Honts.

He enjoyed hunting for mushrooms, listening to music, playing scrabble, chess, shuffleboard, softball, and darts with friends, and going with Shea to watch Tad race his stock car. He truly treasured time spent with his family, especially his granddaughter, Elizabeth. The family will remember him as “Mister Fix-It”.

Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Shea Eitman and fiancé, Tad Payne, of Muscatine; his granddaughter, Elizabeth Payne; one sister, LuAnn Johnson of Camano Island, Wash.; a niece, Mary Beth Manley; a nephew, Bryan Manley and wife, Jaimee and his girlfriend, Kathy Denton of Milan, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Kathy Eitman and a brother in infancy, Perry Eitman
