MUSCATINE, Iowa—John D. Beukenhorst, Sr., 60, of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at his home.
Cremation rites have been facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center, located within Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the John Beukenhorst Memorial Fund.
John Dick Beukenhorst was born on May 19, 1952, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of John Direck and Roberta Mae (Miller) Westerfelt Beukenhorst. He was a graduate of Muscatine High School, attended Muscatine Community College and served his country in the U.S. Army for seven years as a medic. He had been united in marriage to Myra McDaniel and later divorced, Teresa Fuller and later divorced and Margaret Hildebrandt, also divorced.
John will be deeply missed by his children, John D. (Samantha) Beukenhorst, Jr. of Walcott, Benjamin T. Beukenhorst of Columbus Junction and Stacey Beth (Bryan) Hoback of Columbus City; three grandchildren, Hannah N. Beukenhorst, Chloe Michelle Hoback and Logan Matthew Hoback; two sisters, Karen (Robert) Streets of Letts and Kay Ryder of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents
