MUSCATINE, Iowa --  Thomas Rodger "Stretch" Anson, 51, Muscatine, died Saturday, March 29, 2003, as a result of a car accident.

Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Brian Saunders will officiate. Pallbearers are Doug Logel, Jeff Olderog, Terry Parrott, Steve Anson, Rich Shinn, Jeff Hayes, Brian Steele and Mike Schafer. Honorary pallbearers are Jason McClure and Mike Lemke. Burial will be at Soldiers Lot at Greenwood Cemetery with full Military Rites by the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Visitation is 1-5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established at the funeral home.

Mr. Anson was born on June 8, 1951, in Muscatine, the son of Frank and Bette Wilton Anson. He was formerly married to Wanda Harper and Rita Rogers.

He was employed at AllSteel and formerly of the HON Company for 17 years.

He was an U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include two sons, Anthony S. Anson of Fort Hood, Texas and Mitchell R. Anson of Washington; a daughter, Corrie B. Anson of Washington; a brother, Michael T. Anson and his wife, Tracey, of Muscatine; two sisters, Kathy Lemke and her husband, Kenneth, of Babbitt, Minn. and Susan McClure and her husband, James, of Muscatine; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Frank and Steve Anson and James Delacerda
